On March 19, the most elegant and stylish event of the Carmen Poker Series took place—the #Ladies Tournament.
With a $220 buy-in and a $10,000 guarantee, the tournament attracted 61 players. Nine women reached the money, but the ultimate champion was Andreea Bratile, claiming victory for the second time in a row! Back in January, she also won the Western Series Ladies Event, taking home the trophy.
After the winner’s photoshoot, we caught up with her for a quick interview:
— How did you manage to win again?
— I don’t know! I have an amazing feeling right now! This time, it was a little bit easier because in January, I was heads-up against my closest friend. But even this time, the final battle wasn’t easy.
— What was your husband’s reaction?
— He was happy for me. He likes to see me happy. We always support each other. I often ask him for advice—both on strategy and poker hands.
— How do you feel about this victory?
I’m very happy! At one point, I had a short stack because I lost with pocket kings against A-10—an ace came on the flop. At that moment, I thought I had no chance to win. But then I fought back, became the chip leader again, and won the tournament! Once again!
